Lauren

Please pray for Lauren and her family. They unexpectedly lost Kevin's father early this week due to a car accident. Lauren flew home on Saturday to be there for the funeral, and will be flying back into LAX tomorrow (Monday) morning. Please pray for safety in her travels, and for God to be glorified in the conversations still to come.

Hey Team--

It is amazing what God has already done on this trip. We are praying for all of you and especially for Lauren during this difficult time. God has a perfect plan and none of this has taken Him by surprise. We will continue to trust and will pray for all of you to do the same.

We have been praying for you daily and will continue to pray that God will use you in mighty ways and teach you about Himself. Give God everything you have to offer and you'll be amazed by what is accomplished for His Name and His Kingdom.

Hey Guys,
Sounds like you're having a great trip so far. We are praying for you every day. Isn't Saddleback a cool church? Karen and I visited Saddleback way back before they had their own building. They were running about 7,000 people a week before they even owned a facility. I think they had to move from one rented high school facility to another for about ten years before they built their current campus!

Keep your eye on Chelyan for me. I think she has a California heart. I would hate to lose a second daughter to that state! Just kidding. Hey, isn't her sister Tiffany a looker?! Looks like her mother, I know!

Someone let me know how Chelyan teaches the Jonah lesson, will you? She was still wondering how she was going to do that when she left. I'd like to see how she ends up teaching it. I'm sure it will be great. Remember something, all of you kids who teach. You ARE NOT TEACHING MATERIAL - you are teaching PEOPLE. In your cases, you are teaching these amazing "little people" with all this incredible potential. So, make sure that you love them enough to do your best at teaching, and the Holy Spirit will do amazing things with what you do! I know. He's been doing that for me for over 30 years!

God bless all of you. Thanks Michael, Mandy, Sarah, David, Lacey, and any other adults I may be forgetting! These kids will never forget the investment you are making in their lives. Karen and I still get notes from kids we led on a missions trip to Kentucky over 30 years ago! (We were only 14 and 15 ourselves at the time! And then we began having children when we were 17, so we are really lots younger than you kids think!!

Love you guys.

Dear Team,
Michael and adult leaders, thank you so much for overseeing this time of vision and growth. I just read, actually reread this hallmark quote from William Carey, known as the father of modern missions, "Attempt great things for God, expect great things from God!" We will be praying just that for the remainder of your time.
Please tell Kyle his little brother really, really misses him! "Kyle who??" We all miss your energy here Kyle but are excited for what God is doing. ON our minds and in our prayers ... Craig Darling
